Photography Tips

• Composition - The process in which something is made or arranged. 
• Photography and composition are very subjective. 
• Get ideas of what good or creative photography is by looking at magazine and website photos. 
• Pat's Principle: Incorporate people and activities naturally in photographic compositions. 

1. Shoot tight... Keep empty space to a minimum. 
2. Shoot sharp... Hold the camera still (use a tripod to eliminate fuzzy shots.
3. Use different angels... bend knees, climb lower or higher, etc.
4. Use different camera lenses/ when taking pics with phone, learn what your phone can do.
5. Be aware of light and how it affects the composition.
6. The rule of "Thirds" (1/3's)

• Take more than just one shot.
• Carry media cards.
• Carry batteries.
• Set your camera time/date.
• Keep image res high.
• Experiment w/light settings.
• Carry lens tissue.
• Make notes.
